Wellness Circle [Series]

Where Nature Invites Us to Grow Together

There are places we visit.

And there are places that quietly become part of us.

Lake Osceola Retreat is one of those places.

Here, nature is more than a beautiful landscape—it is a gentle teacher. The forest, the lake, the open sky, and the warmth of the fire remind us of something we often forget in our busy lives:

We were never meant to grow alone.

A forest is not created by one tree. Beneath the earth, roots quietly support one another. A lake is not fed by one stream alone. Every part of nature contributes to something greater than itself.

Nature teaches us that connection creates strength, and community helps us flourish.

The Wellness Circle was born from this wisdom.

On the first Saturday of every month, we gather in the heart of nature to slow down, reconnect, and share meaningful conversations. Together we create a welcoming space where ideas are exchanged, experiences are honored, and authentic relationships naturally grow.

This is more than networking.

It is a community built on trust, kindness, curiosity, and collaboration.

Whether you come to share your gifts, gain new inspiration, or simply enjoy the presence of like-minded people, your voice becomes part of the circle.

Around the fire, surrounded by the peaceful beauty of Lake Osceola Retreat, we remember that growth isn’t something we achieve alone.

It is something we create together.

Who Is the Wellness Circle For?

The Wellness Circle welcomes both women and men who value connection, collaboration, and lifelong learning.

This gathering is especially meaningful for:

Wellness Practitioners

Yoga Teachers

Life Coaches

Therapists

Holistic & Energy Healers

Business Owners & Entrepreneurs

Creative Professionals

Community Leaders

Anyone who enjoys meaningful conversations, authentic relationships, and personal growth

No matter where you are on your journey, you are warmly welcome.

Rest & Restore

Rest & Restore

About this trip

Step away from the demands of everyday life and settle into a weekend intentionally designed to calm your nervous system, quiet your mind, and restore your body.

Surrounded by the beauty of nature on a private lake, you'll find space to slow down, breathe more deeply, and release the layers of tension that quietly accumulate through the busyness of daily life. Whether you're feeling overwhelmed, mentally fatigued, physically tight, or simply in need of rest, this retreat offers exactly what your body & mind have been craving.

We will be staying in a historic home in Osceola, Wisconsin, nestled in the lush St. Croix Valley. The home was beautifully custom-built with numerous cushy bedrooms and areas for rest and relaxation. Intricate mosaic tile art, created by the owner himself, fill the home. The 100-acre wooded property boasts miles of hiking trails, a private lake with a resident pair of bald eagles just outside the door!

Throughout the weekend, you'll experience relaxation: restorative (restful) yoga, gentle stretching, mindful breathing practices, forest bathing, guided meditation, a sound bath - all thoughtfully designed to encourage deep rest and help your body shift back into its natural state of healing.

You'll learn practical tools and techniques that you can continue using long after the retreat ends, helping you navigate stressful seasons with resilience, greater ease and self-awareness.

This retreat invites you to embrace the healing rhythm of unhurried living. Sip your morning coffee overlooking the lake, wander peaceful forest trails, paddle across quiet waters, enjoy the sauna and cold plunge, soak beneath the stars in the hot tub, practice quiet reflection, or simply curl up with a good book in a cozy corner.

For those who enjoy creative expression, there will be opportunities for art, journaling, and meaningful conversation with a community of like-minded individuals. Or, if what you need most is silence, you'll find plenty of space to simply be.

Nourishing, home-cooked meals prepared with wholesome ingredients will support your well-being throughout the weekend. Our menu will be custom curated by a private chef, full of nutritious and tasteful ingredients; expect a full balance of color and flavors. Coffees and teas will always be available.

Thai massage, chakra balancing, and facial reflexology sessions offer another layer of relaxation and renewal for those who would like to add additional wellness therapies to their retreat. Also being offered are unique Water Wellness Reset sessions - you can't find these anywhere else!

This is more than a weekend away — it's an opportunity to reset your nervous system, reconnect with yourself, and return home feeling lighter, calmer, and equipped with practices that support lasting well-being. This retreat is especially well-suited for anyone feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, burned out, or simply in need of intentional rest and restoration. The practices you'll experience are designed to support nervous system regulation, encourage relaxation, and help you cultivate habits that promote greater resilience and well-being in everyday life.

Bring your tension and worries and be prepared to leave them behind.

The Return

Saturday: Walk the Pilgrimage

This is the heart of The Return.

A day to walk in solitude, reflect in silence, and discover what rises when the noise falls away.

For 6 hours, you’ll move at your own pace on a forest trail - looping, resting, and continuing in a steady rhythm.

Some will walk farther. Others will take it slower.

Everyone stays with the experience.

The consistency of the time creates space for both challenge and reflection - so you can see clearly what is ready to surface.

The Spirit

9:00 am | Arrival & Opening Circle

Arrive, get grounded & set your intention for the day.

10:00 am – 4:00 pm | The Long Hike
Our modern-day pilgrimage unfolds on a 4-mile forest loop trail. You’ll hike in solitude, yet always within the presence of your community of fellow seekers.

Hike for 6 hours

All fitness levels welcomed

4-7 loops of the trail

Food + hydration aid station at end of each loop

A rhythm that invites both challenge + reflection

Time to walk with your questions, your intentions and your silence

4:00 – 6:30 pm | Recovery
Refuel with a recovery snack, then a nice long shower and rest.

6:30 pm | Dinner
After solitude, return to community over a shared meal.

8:00 pm | Embers of Reflection Bonfire
Share your experience or simply listen as stories weave together into collective meaning.

Friendly Reminder: Attending with a loved one? Plan to hike solo. Save conversation for after The Long Hike!

Walk the Pilgrimage : This is the heart of The Return. A day to walk in solitude, reflect in silence and discover what rises when the noise falls away. For six hours, the trail becomes your teacher: the body engaged in steady movement, the mind clearing in rhythm, and the spirit awakening to what is ready to be seen.

Sunday Morning: Rest, Recovery & Joy

After the pilgrimage, this day is about restoring your body, mind, and spirit.

There’s no rush

Move slowly.

Savor stillness.

Let joy find you - through laughter, creativity, or simply doing nothing at all.

8:00 am | Group Yoga & Sound Healing
Gentle yoga to stretch out those muscles and healing vibration and resonance to deepen recovery.
11:00 am | Brunch

Sunday Afternoon: Remember & Return

This is where it all comes together.

You take the clarity from the weekend and decide what comes with you.

What fills you up.

What you’re ready to return to.

2:30 pm – 4:30 pm | Anchoring What’s Emerging

Receive reflection prompts and choose the pathway that supports how you integrate the experience.

Choose your pathway - writing, quiet conversation, walking reflection, or creative mapping.

Notice what’s taking shape, and allow it to become clear.

5:00 pm | Dinner

Join us at the serene Lake Osceola Retreat Center for a day designed to restore your body, mind, and spirit through gentle practices, sacred healing, and connection with nature.

Your Retreat Experience Includes

Sacred Healing Sessions with Facial Reflexology

Gentle touch and stimulation of reflex points on the face help release stored tension, support the nervous system, and awaken your body’s natural healing response.

Why we need it: Stress and emotions often show on our face — this practice helps soften stress, improve circulation, and bring deep calm.

Gentle, Restorative Yoga

Guided movement and breathwork designed for all levels, easing stiffness and calming the mind.

Why we need it: Daily stress and busyness disconnect us from our bodies — yoga helps us return to balance, presence, and ease.

Why we need it: The body holds tension and toxins — warmth allows muscles to let go, circulation to improve, and the mind to truly rest.

Sound Healing Journey

Sacred vibrations and frequencies wash through the body and mind, guiding you into deep peace.

Why we need it: Our nervous systems are often overstimulated — sound healing helps reset energy, reduce anxiety, and restore inner harmony.

Organic Lunch & Dinner Meals

Freshly prepared meals with vegetarian and non-vegetarian options, filled with local, organic ingredients.

Why we need it: What we eat shapes our energy — nourishing meals fuel body and spirit with clarity and vitality.

Snacks & Drinks available all day to keep you comforted and cared for.

Nature Connection

Free time to walk the forest trails, rest by the lake, or sit quietly in peaceful spaces.

Why we need it: Nature is medicine — stepping outside quiets the mind, lowers stress, and reminds us of our place in the greater whole.

What Is Ayurveda?

Ayurveda is an ancient system of natural healing that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. The word itself means “science of life.” It teaches us that true health comes from living in harmony with nature—by balancing the body, mind, and spirit.

At its core, Ayurveda recognizes that each person is unique. It uses the five elements—Ether, Air, Fire, Water, and Earth—to understand your body’s natural tendencies and guide you toward balance through personalized diet, lifestyle, and daily routines.

Why It Matters Today

In our fast-paced, modern world, stress, poor sleep, processed foods, and digital overload can throw us off balance. Ayurveda offers timeless tools to:

Prevent illness before it starts

Restore energy and vitality naturally

Support mental clarity and emotional wellbeing

Personalize care based on your unique body type (dosha)

It’s not just ancient wisdom—it’s a roadmap for thriving in today’s world.

Walking the Path to Your Best Life

A Weekend Retreat of Self Discovery and Empowerment September 12–14, 2025

Join us for a powerful and heart opening weekend of practice, contemplation, and connection designed to awaken your inner wisdom and affirm your most authentic, joyful path in life.

This retreat is an invitation to step more fully into who you are. It’s about self discovery, empowerment, authenticity, and growth. We are all unique, and one of the greatest gifts we can give the world is to become more fully ourselves and offer that truth with love.

Surrounded by the beauty of nature, we will move, reflect, express, and simply be in community, with purpose, and in peace.

Meet Our Guest Author & Teacher: Jean Jyotika Skeels

We are honored to welcome Jean Jyotika Skeels as our featured guest and guide during this retreat.

Jean is a death doula, life coach, yoga teacher, writer, and mother, who has spent over two decades creating transformational spaces for healing, self-inquiry, and soulful living. Her work is rooted in compassion, truth, and the belief that we all carry deep wisdom within.

On Saturday, Jean will lead a powerful, heart-centered experience inspired by her book:

“Before You Go” a poetic and thoughtful guide to living fully, letting go gracefully, and embracing the present with awareness.

Solstice Yoga Fest

Solstice Yoga Fest | June 21st

Celebrate the Sun, the Summer, and the Joy of Being Together

Join us on June 21st for a full day of celebration as we welcome the arrival of summer with open hearts and open arms. From 10:30 AM to 6:00 PM, we gather in the beauty of nature — surrounded by the forest, beside the calm waters of the lake — to honor the longest and brightest day of the year.

Solstice Yoga Fest is more than an event; it is a gentle invitation to reconnect with yourself, others, and the living world around you. Throughout the day, we will share positive, heart-centered practices including yoga, mindfulness, meditation, and forest bathing. You will find yourself breathing with the trees, resting by the water, moving gently with the wind, and feeling the healing presence of community.

In this sacred circle, you will not only practice but also connect — with kindred spirits, with nature, and with the simple joys of life. We will share a lovingly prepared vegetarian lunch, with additional options available to honor all dietary needs. Every bite will be made with care, nourishment, and love. Local vendors will also join us, bringing handmade creations, wellness offerings, and gifts to share and inspire.

As the sun travels its highest path in the sky, we will be guided through sound healing, meditative journeys, and soulful practices to deepen our sense of unity and belonging. This day is a celebration — of life, of the sun, of summer, and of the precious gift of gathering.

Come as you are. Breathe, move, rest, and simply be. Together, we will celebrate the light within and around us.

A group of five women practicing meditation in a cozy, wooden-furnished room with a fireplace and large windows, seated on yoga mats in a circle.

I just got back from a yoga retreat with Elham and Hossein and though I’m a big introvert and was a little anxious to make small talk with the hosts, I had nothing to worry about. We didn’t have small talk, we had BIG talk, and as an introvert on a personal journey of figuring out what I want from life, it was perfect. These two are so passionate and full of life that you feel a connection to them right away.We did mosaic art with Hossein on this retreat, which I didn’t think I would enjoy as much as I did. And he loves it so much, that you can’t help but to start loving it yourself.Elham’s yoga sessions were luxurious. :chef-kiss:. Elham’s yoga is like a deep cleansing for your soul. You just feel so refreshed when you’re done. Like a new person. Very meditative and centering, which is just what I needed. And the food, y’all!! I’m ordering a Persian cookbook tonight. So delicious!Their home and the scenery is beautiful, but the real gem is these lovely hosts. I wanted to stay longer and claim them as my friends. Very good for my soul.

What a beautiful place! From the moment you arrive and drive down the wooded driveway, to seeing the private lake and gorgeous house you feel at peace. The hosts are so welcoming. The house feels energetically clear and well loved. The entire day of doing our yoga sessions, walking in the woods and wonderful meals was what I needed to revive myself. My love to this group!
